VASCO Data Security International, Inc., is a US based company. The company's operational headquarters are located in Zurich (Balsberg), Switzerland.

VASCO Data Security International is the result of the purchase of several companies, mainly ThumbScan, Inc. and the two Belgian companies, Lintel Security NV/SA and Digipass NV/SA. Its most notable product is also the Digipass.

It engages through its subsidiaries, in the design, development, marketing, and support of hardware and software security systems that manage and secure access to information assets worldwide. It offers patented products for e-business and e-commerce, which enable secure financial transactions to be made over private enterprise networks and public networks, such as the Internet. VASCO also owns the DigiNotar certificate authority, which was blacklisted in several browsers after issuing fraudulent certificates. According to a N.Y. Times report, security at DigiNotar security "did not make the attack particularly difficult".[1] DigiNotar was declared bankrupt[2] shortly afterwards. The stock of VASCO lost over half [3] of its value during the initial weeks of the DigiNotar incident. Forbes Magazine has rated it the 9th fastest growing tech company in 2009.[4] The company was founded in 1997 and its financial headquarters are based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

VASCO is the shirt sponsor of Belgian First Division soccer team KV Kortrijk.
